Patrick Gooch has enjoyed a varied and interesting career. He studied History of Art, and lectured at the Central School of Art and Design in London. However, marketing has long been his main occupation; and in this role he has worked for a number of international companies.
In recent years, Patrick was appointed chief executive of a Spanish government trade council; which led to the award of `Commander of Civil Merit` conferred on him by King Juan Carlos.
Thereafter, he joined his wife`s trade development company, working with European senders to the UK as well as exporters from Central and South America.
It was the tedium of long-haul business flights and time spent in impersonal hotel rooms that prompted Patrick to take up writing. Thus far, a number of his novels have been published – most combining fact with fiction, taking a different slant on actual events.
