A few of us knew that Colin was ill after being admitted to hospital following a major stroke in February. We had been praying for his recovery, but unfortunately it just wasn't to be.

We received this message from Michael Garvey:

It is with great sadness that we share the news that our Dad, Colin Garvey, died this morning (Wednesday 19 March 2025) in hospital.

Colin died peacefully with us all by his side. His brother, John, made it back in time from Vancouver Island to be with him too.

As soon as funeral arrangements have been confirmed we will circulate the details.

The Clapham Old Xaverians’ Association - and the people at its heart - meant the world to Colin. Please keep him in your prayers.

There will be many good, great and fond memories written and spoken of Colin over the coming weeks, months and years, and to all of us who smile, laugh and cry at them, it will reflect that we held him so very dearly in our hearts.
